Just got back from Vegas craziness with my girl Quelyn, still pluggin’ away at the computer animation I need to have done by this weekend. Below, is a character from it, “the choker”, he constricts data flow, among other computer evils.
His design was my favorite, I did the clean-ups on him myself, though Keyvn Schmidt has been assisting me with most of them.

Well, tommorrow I have to start the new animation project that will run till September. Also, I need to finish the t-shirt Design, hip-hop logo, and the new (yet again double sized), Rap-tor by the end of the week. So tonite, I did a quick sketch and inked it up with the old brush pen. (for comic geeks, and people who care a lot about the inside of my head: the character type was inspired by Mike Alred, the pose by Erik Larsen, and the inks, by Tom Palmer over John Romita Jr.)
So here it is just for funsies:

so now that the band has released it, I can officially show you the artwork I did for their new EP “Trashy and the kid: Run For Your Life! the EP”
They have a fun sound, …kinda happy metal, like Motley crue or Alice Cooper, and I especially like the Singer.

So I finished up the Tricked pin-up for Alex, here it is:
It was fun, and I was honored he asked me. The one daunting part is that he requested to have the original, paper version. Knowing this I couldn’t use my usual trick of inking and then fixing the mistakes on the computer. Also I didn’t want it all shmootzed up with white out for him, so the inks were a one shot no going back, and that was a little stressful. I didn’t keep track of the layout /pencil phase, but I know the inks took me about 2 and a half hours on this.
Right now I am working on this week’s Rap-tor, (another double), as well as a hip-hop super hero logo, and still finishing up that t-shirt design, after all this I did book that animation job, which I will start monday and it will take me a few weeks.

Meanwhile the History channel animation seems to be done for now, I will post when/where it will be shown if anywhere to the public.
I am currently working on my third T-shirt design for a new on-line T-shirt company, but can’t show any of them until it launches, and I am also on the inking phase of a pin-up for my pal, and super star comic artist
In addition to all that I may be taking on a new animation project for some corporate presentation.

Posted by Gaz in : Sketches , add a commentA lot of this type of thing “Furry” or “anthro” art is up on www.Deviantart.com where I have opened a page, and been trying to get work. So I thought I’d try a stab, although, I suppose a chameleon warrior is less common than a fox maiden or something, sexy and furry. My friend Jeff tells me that people into “furrys” typically look down on scaleys…that’s stupid. Anyways, I suppose If I want to help myslef get jobs on there I should do a rabbit wizard in a bikini soon.
